Description
Interesting summer visor with the hat badge and buttons for the Boston School of Cadets. The inside crown of the hat it reads "Official Uniform Boston High School", and has the hand written name of "Theodore Howley III". While there are a few men by that name, including a 3rd generation namesake from the 60's. However, the hat definitely is 1930's age and construction. With that being said, there was but one that we found online who was from Massachusetts - and he was born in 1919, and was a veteran of World War II. Definitely potential for some research on a rainy day. Nonetheless, a rare school to find from this time period. The hat remains in fair condition, showing ample signs of age, use, and wear. There is heavy soiling, especially on the crown of the hat. The hat actually folds flat (almost like a USN flat hat) from decades of storage. Nonetheless, we'll ship this with stuffing to help keep its shape. It requires a little TLC. Please see the pictures for more detail.
