Offered is this charming square platter made in England by Crown Ducal in a transferware pattern called Bristol.
The semi-vitreous china blank is creamy-white with dark-pink designs of flowers and exotic birds.
Bristol is Crown Ducal’s most sought-after pattern. It was introduced in 1931 and remained in production for several years.
The scalloped blank features an embossed rim with a floral border design.
The platter measures 11.75 inches (30 cm) from side to side.
Good used condition. There is one underside chip, which we have pictured. Otherwise no chips or cracks. Fine crazing in the glaze, as is typical of this dinnerware.
