  • Condition: I would grade this banknote as extremely fine or better with all the details being very well preserved. The note is off-white in color. It has a vertical fold in the center. The note is clean with minimum soiling and has no large or objectionable stains. The note has no pinholes, no graffiti, and tears. The corners as are intact with some minimum rounding and some minor bumps. There is a light fold and a bump which can be seen at the bottom right corner of the back. and a bump at the top left corner on the back. The note retains most of its original stiffness and crispiness and is nicely centered and margined. The note has no tears, splits and the edges are intact with no observable roughness.     Description:
    A nice extremely fine or much better banknote from New Caledonia. This is the Arrete of January 29, 1943 issued on March 29, 1943 one franc banknote. The banknote is of simple blue design showing a construction site on the front and a deer's head with antlers with a Loraine Cross between the antlers on the back. the note is in French, has no water mark, and is small in size. This particular note has the serial number 235,366 and shows two signatures on the front. Please carefully review the scan as it is part and parcel of our description.
