    Description

WELCOME TO MY AUCTION, GOOD LUCK ON YOUR BIDS!
Original first pattern Jacket, HBT, USMC.
Made in early 1941, this jacket has the early brass buttons stamped U.S. MARINE CORPS, later ones were steel painted black
    .
It has the two lower pockets that were later removed in the second pattern, which was then referred to as a shirt
    .
It has a stamped Marine Corps EGA and the name "LEAHY" is written above the pocket.
The name R.D. LEAHY and service number 444 08 66(?) is inked on the inside shirt tail.
This Marine has not been researched.
A clothing stamp number 0866 T is also stamped inside the button fly.
Also stamped on the shoulder is a Navy rate I can't identify.
I bought this maybe twenty years ago, the seller said Leahy had been a Navy Corpsman.
This jacket has been worn and used; it shows fading and some minor staining; it has no rips or tears; all buttons are there.
Shoulder to shoulder is 22 inches.
Collar to hem is 30 inches.
    Sleeves are 22 inches.
A nice original WWII USMC issue jacket that is getting very hard to find.
