    Presented
    is a pretty gold-filled brooch with a beautiful cameo. The cameo is a scene of a woman standing by a small building on a riverside or lake.
    The setting is in the form of a gently looped ribbon, with a finer twist around the bezel set cameo. The cameo is carved shell.
    This piece is very nicely designed and made.

    The cameo is from the Victorian era, probably mid 1850s to 1890s.
    There are a couple of very fine hairline cracks or flaws in the shell. However, these do not detract from the beauty of the piece. The cameo overall is in very good condition, with a good pin and clasp, which is probably a replacement and better than the original clasp.
    The unusual scene is very attractive and has great atmosphere!
