    You are bidding on an US Army WWII Wool Short Jacket with 8th Army Patch with Trousers. Jacket Quartermaster's label states: Jackets, Field, Wool, O.D., Stock No. 55-J-384-5601, 34S, KRAVITZ CLOTHING CO., P.O. No. 20557, Dated Apr. 20, 1945, Pattern Dated 5/10/44. Jacket has Soldier's SOP number B-5140 written in the back. Left sleeve has machine sewn 8th Army shoulder patch, cross stitched Tech 5 chevron and One Year Overseas Service Stripes. Right sleeve has cross stitched Tech 5 chevron. Collars have U.S. and Engineer Collar discs and pinback 8th Army Distinctive Unit Insignias. Jacket measures 17 inches pit to pit in the front and 18 inches pit to pit in the rear. Sleeves measure 19 inches pit to cuff. Trousers are size marked w32XL31, 55-T-35432-31, pocket is stamped TROUSERS, FIELD, WOOL, SERGE, O.D. 33. 18OZ, SOUTHERN SPORTSWEAR CO. INC., PATT. DATE 20 DEC. 1945, 16 MAR. 1948 Q.M. 7008.
