    Description

WW II U.S. Air corps A2 CBI leather jacket with theatre made painted leather patches for 14th Flying Tiger and painted leather China-Burma-India. Both knitted cuffs are undamaged. Knitted waist has some moth holes, which are to be expected after 80 years. Cotton lining has some wear and tear and has soldier's name with officer serial number. Coat has snaps, hooks and a great zipper. On left sleeve is an eight inch loss of stitching. Coat is excellent for one that was actually worn overseas. Leather has some scuffs. jacket still has leather smell and that squeaky leather sound to the touch. Inside of front pocket is owner's 81 inch long silk flyer's white scarf. I do not think you can find a better identified, used and not altered jacket.
