For your consideration is this WWII Era Marine Corps Dress Blues Officer cover. There are no moth holes, heavy wear marks, etc. I'd say the only flaw I could find was some stitching on the sweat band has come undone - this is an issue you'll find in 95% of these covers from the period. The cover dates to late WWII, and the Sterling and Gold EGA date to early or even pre WWII.  The EGA is hallmarked by Hilborn & Hamburger, and is made of Sterling Silver and 1/20 Rolled Gold on Sterling. It is in Gem Condition, and is being offered as found, uncleaned.  All in all, this cover is a solid 9 out of 10. It is a size 6 7/8. The first reasonable offer will add this spectacular looking time-capsule to their collection. No disappointments, this piece is as close to gem as you'll find for being 75+ years old.
