    Description

Excellent condition overall.  No serious damage to note except for some rust staining on the inside.
The Combat Infantry Badge and Ranger tab are theater-made and hand embroidered.  Both very cool and unusual.
Apparently this individual was Ranger qualified, but not assigned to a ranger battalion.  This was more common in the 29th and 104th infantry divisions, so it is very interesting to see on this Ike jacket.  All the insignia is original to the jacket, there are no other patch "scars" where it looks like anything was added or removed.
There are two names on the inside, but I don't know who was the end owner.  I tried to research the names, but couldn't find anything that gave me any answers.  This is probably because the 103rd is one of the more obscure divisions from WWII. I did find a partial unit roster for one company in the 410th regiment, but no dice on either of the names.  Hopefully the auction winner will have better luck.
