    Description

    This is an Original US
Army Grouping that is all named to Kenneth J. Byrne.  He was born in LeSueur County, MN.  In June 1943 he enlisted in the US Army and served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater.  He was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant in March 1946.  After the war he attended the University of Minnesota and participated in Reserve Officer Training where he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in June 1951.  He served in the Army Reserve for 29 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.  His Army awards included the Meritorious Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Service Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Service Medal with Bronze Star, Philippine Liberation Medal with Bronze Star, Victory Medal, and Army Reserve Medal.
I have some personnel files from his service that I will include.  This is a really nice grouping that is in really nice shape.  There is just minor wear and tear with this grouping.
